ADVERTORIAL - Help Obs PnP spread festive season joy

As Christmas decorations hang from store ceilings and special offer displays can be seen in the isles, it is no doubt that the festive season is fast approaching.

But no festive season will be complete without the outpouring of generosity from Observatory Pick n Pay Family Supermarket and their loyal customers. And this year is no different.

The Obs Pick n Pay team will be hosting a series of festive season events aimed at blessing the less fortunate in the community and spreading some Christmas cheer.

On 8 December, Pick n Pay staff members will host their annual lunch for the men and women from the Straatwerk programme, which provides homeless people with job opportunities such as cleaning and sweeping in Observatory and surrounding areas.

Customers are implored to donate male and female toiletry items to contribute towards care packages that will be given to the Straatwerk workers at the lunch.

From the homeless to the elderly, Obs Pick n Pay will be hosting their Christmas tea part with the residents of Arcadia old-age home in Main Road on 15 December.

The senior members of the community are treated to sweet treats, Christmas carols and many laughs.

With the help of customers and Santa Claus himself, Obs Pick n Pay will also be hosting Christmas parties for the young people of Beth Uriel, The Jubilee Centre and The Cape Multi Service Centre in Salt River.

The Pick n Pay team are counting on the support they always receive from their customers to make this festive season extra special for these centres.

The names, gender and ages of all the children and youth in the centres are hanging from the Christmas tree at the help desk at the entrance of the store.

Customers are encouraged to select a name and buy an age-appropriate gift for a child.

Obs Pick n Pay customer care manager, Zeenith Thomas, would like to thank their customers for their continued support and knows they will help make this year “bigger and better”.

Observatory Pick n Pay Family Supermarket is open daily from 7am to 10pm. Phone 021 448 9802.
