Obs library closed for 3 months for renovations

The Observatory Library in Station Road will be closed for renovations from mid-September for a period of approximately three months.

Library items can still be returned during this period but our patrons will have to make use of our neighbouring libraries in Mowbray, Rondebosch and Woodstock.

The library staff are looking forward to the exciting changes ahead for the Obs community. The outreach programmes for this period will be on hold and will commence once the library re-opens.

The knitting project will continue with members dropping off their items at the library. Beanies, blankets, jerseys and knitted vests were delivered to Groote Schuur Hospital Maternity Hospital on the 15th August 2017.

The items knitted were from regular knitters in Cape Town and the library received a special delivery of items all the way from Birmingham, United Kingdom from Margaret Shakespeare and Ann Dodd.

Please check our Facebook page for any updates: www.facebook.com/observatorylibrary or call us at 021 447 9017.
