Question to Councillor Chapple from concerned resident:

Dear Councillor,

I developed my love for soccer at the age of 10, when my dad took me to my 1st soccer match at Hartleyvale Soccer Stadium. We watched a game between Hellenic and Cape Town City football clubs.

There were many more Friday nights to follow, where family, friends, kids and fans congregated and had a great time.

On a daily basis, I drive past the stadium pavilion which is crumbling and dilapidated and has been in this terrible state for many years.

If the stadium is condemned, why is it not demolished and replaced with a new structure?

What are the future plans? It would be a wonderful place for residents and fans alike to enjoy once again.
